Week of 12/12

Stats: Studenys will be working on probabilities of problems involving counting rules throughout the week. They will complete assignments from lessons 4-5 and 4-6 in the book. Expect a Chapter four test before Christmas.

Calculus: Students will be working on optimization applications of derivatives and then move into Newtons' method of Linearization. Expect a test on chapter 4 before Christmas.

Week of Dec 5th

Stats: Students will be working on the multiplication rule and complete lesson 4-4 #'s 1-50 throughout the week. When finished we will begin notes on the counting rules.

Calculus: Students will learn about the first and second derivative test and be asked to complete lesson 4-3 #'1-32, 37-38, 41-42 and 46-47 throughout the week. After we finish work with lesson 4-3, we will begin notes on optimization.

Week of Nov 29th

Stats: Students will be working on lesson 4-3 "The addition rule" for probability and complete a two part assignment found on page 193.

Calculus: Students will be working on a NASA application using IPADS. Then they will be completing Lessons 4-1 and 4-2 from the book on page 183, 1-10, 19-30.

week of Nov. 14

Stats: Students will work on sample spaces and probability. They will complete page 186, 1-25.

Calculus: Students will complete derviatives of inverse trig functions on page 162, 4-14 even. Then they will complete the derivatives of exponential and logarithmic functions on page 170, 2 - 40 even. A test will come after lesson 3.9.

week of Halloween (10-31)

Stats: Students will complete page 542 #'s 12-20 and page 552 #'s 12-2. They will also be working their way through their Bungee projects and a test on chapter 10 will follow next week.

Calculus: Students will be completing page 155, #'s 4-36 multiples of 4. Also they will complete page 162, #'s 2-10 even toward the end of the week.

Pssa Math: Students should prepare for a test on anchor C "Geometry."

week of 10/24

Calculus: Students will be working on lessons 3-4 trig derivatives and 3-5 "The Chain Rule" during the course of the week. They will complete assignments from the book respective to each lesson. Also study for a quiz possibly on friday from the two lessons.

Stats: We have moved on to chapter 10 Correlation and regression. This week, we will cover lessons 10-1 through 10-3 and complete the assignment from lesson 10-3 in the book. Also during this chapter, we will be completing at least 3 different porjects so please bring everything with you to class.

pssa math: we will be completing anchor C this week and next in class.

week of 10/17

stats: Students will begin the week working on z-scores and box plots. Homeowrk will be found on page 144, 1-13. Then on Wednesday, students will complete their fast food projects and take their chapter 3 test on Thursday. On Friday, we will begin chapter 10.





Pssa: Students will begin working on properties of both triangles and circles.





Calculus: First half of Chapter 3 will be tested today! Tomorrow will bring derivatives of trig functions with homework on page 140, 1-13, 26 and 27. Then be prepared to go outside for a exploration activity by Thursday!

Week of Oct. 10

Stats: Page 130 numbers 22,24,28 and 30 will be for homework on Monday night. Then students will work on lessons 3-4 and 3-5 before the end of the week. Students will complete homework for 3-4 on page 144, #'s 2 - 20 even.

Pssa Math: Students will finish anchor B and take their anchor test beforwe the end of the week.

Calculus: Students will be study velocity and other rates of change. They will be asked to complete various problems on page 129. Then later in the week, students will have a test on the first half of chapter 3.

Stats: We will be working on measures of central tendency and variation. Homework assignments will be found on pages 110 and 129.




Calculus: Students will begin working through chapter 3....Derivatives. We will cover lessons 1 and 2. Homework will be found on pages 101 and 111.

Week of 9/18

Stats: Students will complete assignment on page 58, 1,3,4. Plus study for a quiz on Tuesday. There will be a chapter 2 test likely on Thursday and then we will move into chapter 3.




Calculus: Page 87, 1-7, 9-14, 27, 29-31. We will review this assignment on Tuesday. Then we will be having a chapter 2 test on either Wednesday or Thursday before we move into derivatives.




Pssa Math: Expect a quiz on anchor "A" before the end of the week.

Stats classes will be working on lesson 2-2 frequency distributions and 2-3 graphs. They will also have a quiz on frequency distributions.
Calculus will be covering the topic of continuity found in lesson 2-3 and be having a quiz on limits and continuity by the end of the week.

Homeowrk and important notices for week of 9/6 - 9/9

Stats: On Tuesday, we will be finishing our notes on chapter 1. Then on Wednesday, we will be having our first quiz that relates to all definitions and classifying activities that were used in chapter 1. On Thursday and Friday, we will move into chapter 2 and start learning frequency distributions. Students will complete problems beginning on page 43 for homework.
Calculus: We will be moving into limits approaching infinity and completing section 2.2 exercises found on page 71. Then we will begin discussing the topic of continuity and complete the exercises for lesson 2.3 found on page 80. Be prepared for a quiz on any or all of our first three lessons.

All classes: Students will begin to review for their final in all core classes. Each day students will be given an assignment challenging them to prepare for their final exam.

Pssa Math: Students will be working on finding patterns within a set of numbers.

Stats: Students will finish project on hypothesis testing and begin to review for their final.
Calculus: Students will complete lesson on area between two curves on a plane. Then they will be introduced to finding volumes through integration.
Analytic Geometry: Students will finish unit on logarithms and begin to review for final.
Pssa Math: Students will be completing the district assessment.

Stats: Students will be working on lesson 8-5, hypothesis testing for proportions, and the assignments will be found on page 434.
Calc: Students will be working on lesson 7-1, which covers initial value, displacement and distance traveled.
Analytic Geometry: Students will have a quiz on Wednesday for parent functions. Then they will be working on their translations, stretches and compressions.
Pssa Math: Students will be learning to use the graphing calculator to compute linear regression lines and make predictions based on models.

Week of April 18th

Stats: Students will finish hypothesis testing using a z-test and have a quiz on Wednesday. Analytic Geometry: Students will finish up chapter three by reviewing hyperbola and have their chapter 3 test on Wednesday. Calculus: Students will finish integration by parts and substitution and have their chapter 6 test on Wednesday. Pssa math: Students will review errors from district test. Then they will practice on graphing lines and computing comission problems before the end of the week.

Stats: Students will be working on lessons 8-2 and 8-3. They will be completing pages 404 and 415 for homework. Pssa Math: students will be working on commission problems along with taking their next test. Analytic Geometry: Students will finish lesson 3-3 and 3-4 this week. Then they will have their chapter 4 test. Calculus: Students will be working on integration by parts (lesson 6-3) by completing worksheet. Then will will be working on lesson 6-4 exponential growth and decay.

Stats: Students will be working on confidence intervals for proportions, variance and standard deviations. Lesson 7-4s and 7-5. Analytic geometry: Students will be learning about parabolas all week. This will include lessons 3-1 and 3-2. Calculus: Students will be starting chapter 6, applications of integration. They will complete lesson 6-1 after their ch. 5 test. Pssa math: Students will be reviewing in length the answers of their practice test. Then they will be working on order of operations and also calculating tips.

Analytic Geometry: This week we will be working on the many ways to solve systems of equations.

Pssa math: Students will be working on writing linear regression equations or lines of best fit.

Stats: Students will continue to work with z-scores and their applications by completing lesson 6-4 from book.

Analytic Geometry: Students will continue to learn to write equations of lines into different forms and understand why each form is beneficial. They will complete lessons 2-1 and 2-2 from book.

Calc: Related rates activity will be conducted and chapter four test will be on Friday.

Pssa math: Students will be writing proportions and evaluating similar triangles. Our first major quiz will be at the end of the week.

Analytic Geo. Students will begin working on chapter 2 towards the end of the week. Test on chapter one was moved back from Monday to Wednesday.

Calculus Students will be studying related rates and Newtons method. Test on chapter four will be next week.

Statistics students will finish chapter five and begin chapter six notes. Ch. 6 is the normal distribution and students will study areas under the normal curve.

Pssa math will work on order of operations and will have a quiz next week.

Analytic Geo. Students will be working on writing the equations for graphs using the point-slope formula and the distance formula.

Pssa math: We will be working on factorials, permutations, combinations and pascals triangle.

Week of 1/31

Calc: Students will be working on graphing from derivatives and maximization problems throughout the week. They should also be ready for a quiz on antiderivatives. Assignments will cover leson 4-3 and 4-4.

Analytic Geometry (TRIG): Students will work on lesson two: angles of inclination and lesson three division of a line segment out of their new book.

Stats: Students will finish lesson 5-4: the binomial probability formula and then take a test on chapter 5. They will be asked to complete their projects by no later than next week.

Pssa math: Students will be working on graphing linear inequalities and lines. Then they will be moving into changing dimesions of objects and studying the effects on area, perimeter and volume.

Calculus: We will be working on applications of derivatives and analyzation of functions through derivatives and their graphs.

Trigonometry: We will be working on solving trig equations, law of sines and cosines.

Stats: This week we will begin chapter five and throughout the week we will be creating and analyzing probability distributions.

Pssa Math: We will be going over classroom procedures and expectations as the new students move in and the others move on.
