Week of December 18th

First off, Merry Christmas to everyone!

Geometry:  Students are working with circles and will determine angle measures inside.  Lessons 10-2 and 10-3 will be covered this week.

Algebra 2:  Students will continue working with Quadratic equations and will likely test on Thursday.

Stats:  Students will learn how to create probability distributions and find their mean and standard deviation.

AP stats:  Students will finish lessons 6-5 and 6-6 on the normal distribution and central limit theorem.  Test on Thursday.

Week of December 4th

Geometry:  Students will begin on similar triangles and work through lessons 7-3 up to 7-5 this week.

Algebra 2:  We will begin working with quadratic equations and cover lessons 4-1 and 4-2.

Stats:  Counting Rules, Lesson 4-5

Ap stats:  The normal distribution...Chapter 6 lessons, 1 and 2.

Week of 11/28

Geometry: Students will begin chapter 7 this week completing the first two lessons.

Algebra 2:  Students will finish solving systems of equations by substitution and elimination.  Then they will move into solving inequalities.

Stats:  Students will move into the multiplication rules and counting rules for probability.

AP stats:  Test on chapter five on Wednesday.  Also fast track for chapter six is due and we will move into normal distributions.

Week of 11/6

Geometry:  Students will learn about parallelograms and rectangles.  They will complete lessons 6-2 through 6-4 for homework.

Algebra 2:  Students will be working on keystone review.

Stats:  Students will work on their bungee barbie project.

AP stats:  Students will cover lessons 5-1 and 5-2 this week on the binomial formula.

Week of 10/23

Geometry:  Review of medians and altitudes as well as triangle inequalities.  Test Thursday.

Algebra 2:  Completion of piece wise functions and parent functions.

Stats:  Test Monday.  Begin chapter 10 on linear regression.

AP stats:  Students wil continue to work through probability lessons 4-2 and 4-3.

Week of 10/9

Geometry:  Students will learn about AAS, ASA and HL congruences in triangles.  They will complete lessons 4-4 and 4-5 this week.

Algebra 2:  Students will learn to express linear equations into different forms.

Stats:  Continue working on variance and Standard deviation.

AP stats:  Students will complete lessons 4-1 and 4-2 on simple and compound events.

Geometry:  students will do lessons 4-1 through 4-2.

Algebra 2:  Test on chapter 1 will be near end of this week.

Stats:  Students will complete lessons 3-1 throughout the week.

AP stats:  Students will finish chapter 3 and test friday.

week of 9/25

Geometry:  Lessons 3-4 and 3-5.  Test will be friday.

Algebra 2:  Solving absolute value equations and solving inequalities.

Statistics:  Students will finish frequency distributions with a test wednesday.  Then they will move into measures of central tendency.

AP statistics:  Data collection Tuesday.  Central tendency and spread throughout the rest of the week.

Geometry:  parallel and perpendicular lines, auxiliary line and angle relationships.  3-1 through 3-3.

Algebra 2: Linear functions and functional notation.  2-1 through 2-3

Stats:  Graphs of frequency distributions.  Lesson 2-3 and 2-4  Test next Monday

AP stats: Lesson 2-3, Open ended number 2, Test Thursday on chapter 2, also chapter 1 in fast track is due Thursday!

Week of 9/11

Geometry:  Two and three dimensional figures.  Finding area, perimeter and volume.

Algebra 2:  Counting techniques, adding probabilities and multiplying probabilities as well as venn diagrams.  Homework will be given in worksheets and please prepare for your first test.

Stats:  Frequency distributions, histograms, polygons and ogives.  Homework will come from lessons 2-2 and 2-3.

AP stats:  Frequency distributions, histograms, polygons and ogives, pareto charts, circle graphs, dot plots and stem and leaf plots.  Homework will come from lessons 2-1 through 2-3.

AP stats:  Assignments 1-2 and 1-3 with a test Thursday this week.  Also, summer packets are due Tuesday.

SAT prep:  Chapters 7 and 8 will be done this week.

Consumer Economics:  Unit 4 in everfi will be completed this week.

Algebra:  Students will complete their chapter 8 test on Monday and learn lessons 11-3, 10-2 and 10-3 afterwards.

Stats:  Students will cover the first three lessons in hypothesis testing, chapter 8.

AP stats:  Students will complete their final practice exam before taking the AP test.

Stats:  Chapter 7 test on Tuesday.

AP stats:  AP practice problems will be done in class.

Algebra 1:  Students will complete lessons 7-7 through 8-9 this week.  Chapter 8 test will be early next week.

SAT prep:  Students will complete chapters 3 and 4 in the SAT prep book this week.

Consumer Economics:  Students will finish unit 2 and begin unit 3 from evefi.  They will also complete a reflection on unit 3.

Stats:  Students will complete lessons 7-4 and 7-5 before preparing for their confidence interval test.

AP stats:  Students will be retaking their chapter 9 retest Wednesday followed by review of the first practice exam.

Algebra 1: Students will complete lessons 8-4 through 8-6.

AP stats:  Students will complete lessons 10-1, 10-2 and 11-1 before beginning their AP Practice exams.

Due to snow storm Stella....  This week will reflect last week.

Algebra 1:  Students will hopefully complete lessons 6-4 and 6-5 this week, but with the oncoming snow, 6-5 is unlikely.

AP stats:  We will begin chapter 9 this week and complete lessons 9-1 and 9-2.

Stats:  Students will complete the last lesson of chapter 6 this week and have their chapter test.

Consumer Economics:  Students will finish their unit on renting vs owning and move into a unit on insurance and taxes.

Algebra 1:  Students will hopefully complete lessons 6-4 and 6-5 this week, but with the oncoming snow, 6-5 is unlikely.

AP stats:  We will begin chapter 9 this week and complete lessons 9-1 and 9-2.

Stats:  Students will complete the last lesson of chapter 6 this week and have their chapter test.

Consumer Ec:   Students will complete the credit building unit in everfi and then complete the unit review.

Algebra 1:  Students will Complete lesson 10 of study island before moving into solving systems of equation by elimination and completing lesson 6-3 from the text book.

AP Stats:  Students will take their chapter 8 test on Wednesday.  Then they will begin a unit on linear regression.

Stats:  Students will complete lesson 6-4 on the central limit theorem and take their chapter test Friday.

Algebra 1:  Students will begin finding solutions to systems of equations by three different methods.  Lessons 6-1 through 6-3 will be completed for homework.

AP stats:  Students will complete lessons 8-4 and 8-5 for homework this week and prepare for chapter 8 test.

Stats:  Students will finish chapter six and take their test at the end of the week.

Consumer Economics:  Students will begin a unit on credit cards and other banking payment options.

Algebra 1:  Test on Wednesday for chapter 5.  Students should complete page 320 for homework and be up to date on study island.  (Lesson 9)

Consumer Ec:  Checking account and register packet will be due Friday.

Stats:  Chapter 5 test will be taken on Tuesday and we will move into the normal distribution for the remainder of the week.

AP Stats:  Students will complete lessons 8-1 and 8-2 for homework.

Week of February 6th

Consumer Economics:  Students will continue with banking on everfi.  They will also complete the handouts and assessment before moving on to checking accounts.

AP stats:  Students will review for chapter 7 test on Tuesday.  Then they will move into hypothesis testing and complete lessons 1 and possibly 2 in chapter 8 for friday.

Stats:  Students will continue to use the binomial theorem and review for the test on Wednesday.  Then they will move into chapter 6, the normal distribution on Thursday where they will take notes for the remainder of the week.

Algebra 1:  Study island lesson 9 today.  Students should log onto their computers and complete this for Friday.  After that, students will complete lessons 5-5 and 5-6 in their book.

Week of January 30th

Stats:  Students will begin the binomial distribution and complete lesson 5-4 for homework.

Consumer Economics:  Students will continue with their savings plan and generating a budget.  All assignments can be found on google classroom or everfi.com


AP stats:  Students will be finding confidence intervals for proportions and should also remember their matchmaking results are due by February 6th.

Algebra 1:  Study Island lesson 8 on Monday.  Lessons 5-4 through 5-6 will be finished through the week.

Consumer Economics:  Students will continue working to complete the credit card unit, it's handouts and assessments.

AP stats:  Each student will be expected to organize and determine matches for the other students in the school.  They will also prepare for their midterm.

Stats:  Students will finish lesson 4-6 for homework and review for midterm.

Algebra 1:  Students will complete lesson 7 on study island and also complete lesson 4-5 for class before reviewing for midterm.

Consumer Economic:  Students will finish their checking account unit and start on the credit cards unit.

AP Stats:  Students will finish their Normal distribution unit and begin their class project.

Stats:  Lessons 4-5 and 4-6 will be covered this week. 

Algebra 1:  Students will learn to write the equation of a line using point slope formula and complete lesson 4-3 for homework.
