Week of December 15th.

Geometry:   Chapter 4 test on Wednesday.  Then we will be starting chapter 5.

Stats:  Page 209 will be due on Wednesday with a test coming up before Christmas on ch 4.

AP stats:  Page 222 is due Tuesday and we will move into lesson 5.3 which will be due at the end of the week.

Algebra 1:  Students will have a test on Tuesday and will move into chapter 5 starting on Wednesday!

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD BEGIN PREPARING FOR MIDTERMS!

Week of November 16th.

Geometry:  Students will begin working on classifying triangles and finding congruence between.  They will be asked to complete worksheets 4-1 through 4-3 from chapter four for homework.

Algebra 1:  Students have begun to work with patterns as linear equations and will complete worksheets on Monday and Tuesday. Then students will move into graphing equations in slope intercept form.  Quiz will be on Friday!

Statistics:  Students will begin their bungee Barbie project on linear regression and Finish with a test on Friday!

AP Stats:  Students will finish chapter 4 by completing assignments from another AP book.  Their test on chapter 4 will be held Friday.

Week of November 2nd

Geometry:   Students will begin working on equations of lines passing through points or having given slopes.  They will write equations of lines in slope-intercept, point-slope and standard form.  For homework, students will complete corresponding worksheets and finish the week with a test.

Algebra 1:  Students will begin the week by learning about linear equations, standard form and finding their intercepts.  Students will complete worksheets on lesson 3-1 for homework.

Statistics:  Students will begin taking notes on chapter 10, Linear regression.  They will construct scatter plots and determine correlation from a data set.

AP Statistics:  Students will continue to work through chapter 4 notes on simple and compound probability.  Students will complete lesson 4-1 homework, fast track and free response questions throughout the week.

Week of october 5th

Stats and AP Stats:  Students will work through each lesson from chapter three, completing the assignments from the book on measures of central tendency, variation and position.  They will also continue with their nfl project.

Geometry:  Students will complete worksheet 2-8 before having a quiz on Tuesday.  Students will also begin chapter three on parallel and perpendicular lines.

Algebra 1:  Students will finish up solving equations with variables on both sides before moving into solving absolute value equations and finally into ratios and proportions.  They will complete worksheets 2-4 through 2-6 for homework.

Week of September 28th

Geometry: Students will start their week by learning about simple postulates and algebraic properties in Geometry.  Then they will move into the segment addition postulate and complete worksheet 2-7 for homework.  They will finish out their week by doing the angle addition postulate and completing worksheet 2-8.

AP stats:  Students will begin chapter three on measures of central tendency, variation and position.  They will complete each respective assignment and their fast track assignment as well.

Statistics:  Chapter 2 test is Monday!  Students will then begin chapter three on data description.  Homework on measures of central tendency will be given on Wednesday.

Algebra:  Students will continue to solve algebraic equations, next will be two step equations, followed by equations with variables on both sides and then absolute value equations.  They will complete assignments on lessons 2-3, 2-4 and 2-5 for the week.

Week of September 21st

Geometry:  Students will begin the week by reviewing their lesson on Angle relationships.  Then they will move into three dimensional objects and final finish with their chapter 1 test.

Algebra 1:  Students will start the week by writing algebraic equations for given sentences containing problems.  Then they will continue with Solving one step equations.

Stats:  Students will begin by creating a histogram, frequency polygon and O-give for each problem in their previous homework.  They will also then learn stem and leaf plots along with various other statistical graphs.

AP stats:  Students will begin by creating a histogram, dot plots, time series graphs, circle graphs and O-give for each problem in their previous homework.  They will also then learn stem and leaf plots and two way stem and leaf plots along with various other statistical graphs.

Week of September 14th

Geometry:  Students will complete lessons 1-1 reinforcement, 1-4 and 1-5 worksheets for this week.

AP Statistics:  Students will have their first test on Tuesday for chapter 1.  This will be followed by creating frequency distributions and their graphs.  Students will complete lessons 2-1 and 2-2 for homework.

Statistics:  Students will begin chapter two on frequency distributions.  They will complete lessons 2-2 and 2-3 for homework.

Algebra 1: Students will complete lessons 1-5 and its reinforcement worksheet involving solving one or two step equations.  Then they will complete lesson 2-1 and 2-2 for homework.

Stasistics:  Students will be conducting their speed trap project involving hypothesis testing all week.

Calculus:  Students will be learning about the disks, washers and cylindrical shells methods for finding volumes of solids of revolution.

Pssa Math:  Students will continue solving algebraic equations.

Week of May 4th

Statistics:  Students will begin hypothesis testing for a t-test for the mean.  They will also continue on to do hypothesis testing for a proportion.

Calculus:  Students will finish area between curves prior to taking their next test.  Then they will move into disks, washers and cylindrical shells.

Pssa Math:  Students will finish their unit on solving algebraic equations with variables on both sides and finish the week with their unit three test.

Week of 4/27

Statistics:  Students will begin hypothesis testing for a mean.  They will be completing lesson 8-2 for homework.  Students should also begin preparing for the final exam.

Calculus:  Students will begin to find area between two curves by evaluating integrals of two functions over given intervals.  Students will complete lesson 7-2 from their book and a worksheet from our college textbook.

Pssa Math:  Students will be finishing their unit two packets on solving simple algebraic equations.  Then we will move into unit 3.

Week of 4/20

Stats:  Students will be completing chapter 7 with a test on Thursday.  They will also complete an activity confidence intervals of a proportion.

Calculus:  students will begin defining integrals as net change and evaluating areas between curves.  They will complete lessons 7-2 and 7-3 for homework.

Pssa Math: Students will continue solve simple algebraic equations.

Week of April 6th

Stats: Students will be finishing lesson 7-3 and completing page 366 for homework.  Then they will have a test on lessons 7-2 and 7-3 on Wednesday.  Students will then move into lesson 7-4 confidence intervals for proportions.

Calculus:  Students will begin integration by parts worksheet and likely have a test on both integration by substitution and by parts on Thursday. 

Pssa Math:  Students will continue to progress through their rational numbers packet and receive their first test on Friday.

Week of March 31st

Statistics:  Students will begin finding confidence intervals for smaller samples by using a t-score and finding the degrees of freedom.

Calculus:  Students will begin integration by parts and complete lesson 6-3 from the book.

Pssa math:  Students from the pre-algebra section will be moving in this week and beginning class by reviewing the syllabus, class rules and procedures.

Week of March 24th

Statistics: Students will be retaking their chapter five test and taking their chapter six test this week as well.  We will be starting confidence intervals in chapter seven near the end of the week.

Calculus:  Students will be taking their end of chapter four retest and then moving into integration by substitution.

Pssa Math:  Students will be finishing the quarter by completing a unit on statistics.

Week of March 16th.

Statistics:  Students will begin their week by working through the normal approximation of the binomial experiment.  They will complete homework on lesson 6-6.  Then students will complete a activity on the normal distribution by collecting data from measurements and constructing a graph. Chapter six test will come at the end of the week.

Calculus:  Students will finish indefinite integration of simple anti-derivatives before retaking their end of chapter four test on Tuesday.  Then we will move into integration by substitution.  Expect a quiz on this near the end of the week.

Pssa Math:  Students will be finishing their unit on volume and surface area of three dimensional objects.

Week of March 9th

Stats:  Students will begin working with the central limit theorem.  They will complete page 329 for homework. Then they will move into the normal approximation to the binomial theorem and complete page 337 before their test.

Calculus: Students will complete page 286 and review it before their chapter five test on Tuesday.  Then we will be moving into indefinite integration.

Pssa Math:  Students will start the week by taking their unit 3 test.  Then they will move into a unit on surface area and volume.

Week of march 2nd

Stats:  Students will complete homework on page 316 and move on to lesson 6-4.  After completing 6-4, students will be completing a project on the normal distribution.

Calculus:  Students will review their final homework in lesson 5-4.  This will be followed by a test on chapter 5.  Then students will be learning about indefinite integrals.

Pssa math:  Students will finish working on area and perimeter unit and complete their unit three test.  Then the students will begin working with three dimensional shapes.

Week of Feb 23rd

Stats:  Students will complete pages 302, #'s 6-47,  and 316, #'s 1-42.  Both assignments are on finding a z-score for a given data value and determining the area under a normal curve.

Calc:  Students will continue working on definite integrals and the fundamental theorem of calculus.  Students will complete lessons 5-4 and 5-5 for homework and also complete a quiz on definite integrals early in the week.

Pssa math:  Students will be learning about perimeter and area of two dimensional objects and gradually complete their third unit packet.

Week of February 16th

Stats:  Students will start the week by taking their chapter five test on Monday.  Then they will move into learning about the normal distribution and z-scores.  Lesson 6-2 will be completed for homework.

Calculus:  Students will begin the week by taking their retest on lessons 4-5 and 4-6.  They will also continue to work on definite integrals.

Pssa Math:  We will be finishing our unit on similar figures with a test to follow at the end of the week.  Please be sure to study.

Week of February 3rd.

Stats:  Students will begin working on the binomial formula and have a test on chapter 5 at the end of the week. 

Calculus:  Students will have a test on Tuesday dealing with Newton's Method, Linearization and Related Rates.  Then they will begin working on estimating area under a curve by using basic Reimann sums.

Pssa Math:  Students will be finishing their unit one packets and then take a test on Angles and Triangles at the end of the week.

Week of January 26th

Stats:  Students will begin to make probability distributions and find their data descriptors.  They will complete lessons 5-2 and 5-3 for homework. 

Calculus:  The class will have lesson 4-6 for homework and then the students will have a test on 4-5 and 4-6.

Pssa math:  Students will continue with unit one, angles and triangles.  This unit packet should be completed for Monday, Feb 2nd!

Week on January 19th

Stats:  Students will begin chapter 5 and learn how to construct probability distributions.  Then they will find the mean, variance, standard deviation and expected value for the distribution.  Students will complete lesson 5-2 from their textbook.

Calculus:  Students are currently working on linearization and newton's method.  They will be asked to complete page 229 from their book.

Pssa Math:  A new quarter begins on Wednesday and our classes change.  So for our new incoming students, we will begin by receiving our first unit and the course syllabus.
