Week of 4/4

Geometry:  Students will be finishing chapter 8 with a test on Wednesday.  Then they will begin learning about circles and their properties.

Stats:  Chapter 7 test is on Wednesday!  Chapter eight will bring in hypothesis testing.  Students will finish 8-2 for homework this week.

AP STATS:  Students will finish hypothesis testing this week and they will complete lessons 8-3 through 8-5 for homework.  Their fast track will also be due next Wednesday and their test will be on Wednesday as well.

Algebra 1:  We are currently working on Scientific Notation.  Worksheets 8-4 will be done this week.  Also, please begin to encourage your students to prepare for the Keystone Exams and stress the value of performing well under the pressure of a state test.

Week of 3/14

Stats:  Retest on Chapter 6 this Monday.  Then we will move into chapter 7 confidence intervals.

AP stats:  We will finish Chapter 7 this week on confidence intervals and then test on Thursday.  We will also hold our second round of AP practice tests this Friday.

Algebra 1:  Students will finish solving systems of linear inequalities this week and conclude the week with a chapter test.

Geometry:  Students will review for chapter 7 test on Tuesday.  Then we will begin working on Pythagorean theorem and right triangles.

Week of February 22nd

AP stats:  Students will review lesson 6-6 on Monday and test for chapter 6 on Tuesday.  Then we will move into confidence intervals.

Stats:  Students will continue learning about the normal distribution and complete the first two lessons of chapter 6.

Basic Algebra:  Students will continue with solving systems of equations through elimination and substitution.  They will complete lessons 2-4 of chapter 6.

Geometry:  Students will begin working on ratios and proportions within similar triangles.  They will complete lessons 7-1 through 7-3 this week.

Week of February 15th

Stats:  Students will begin the week by reviewing the binomial distribution.  A retest on this material shall be given Thursday in class.  Students will then start chapter six on the normal distribution for Friday.

AP Stats:  Students will finish the normal distribution and Central Limit Theorem this week and test will be on Friday.  Lesson 6-5 homework and fast track homework will also be due by Friday.

Geometry:  Students will review chapter six on quadrilaterals and take their test on Friday.

Algebra 1:  Students will begin to solve systems of equations by graphing the system and identifying its solution.  They will also be able to classify the system of equations by the number of solutions it has.

Week of January 25th.

Stats:  Students will continue with chapter five as they learn how to compute the mean and standard deviation of a probability distribution.  Homework will come from lesson 5-3.

AP stats:  Open ended question is due this Tuesday due to the blizzard.  Students will continue with normal distributions and z-scores as they will complete lesson 6-2 and 6-3 this week.

Geometry:  Students will learn how to compute the interior angle sum of any polygon.  They will also learn how to compute individual angles of regular polygons.  Students will complete worksheets on 6-1 and 6-2

Algebra 1:  Students will begin by solving inequalities with absolute value and complete worksheets on lesson 5-5.  Begin to study for chapter test now as students will also complete this chapter by learning about graphing inequalities with two variables and completing worksheets on lesson 5-6.  Chapter test should fall on next Monday!
