Week of 3/11

Stats:  This week we will be finishing up chapter 7 with homework on page 385 and then a chapter test later inthe week.

Calculus:  Students will complete an assignment from page 321 and then 328.  Both lesson will be focused around integration with the first being by substitution and the second by integration by parts.

Practical Algebra 2:  Students will complete various worksheets on systems of equations and utilize all three methods learned in class to solve each set of equations.  Near the end of the week, students will take a chapter test on systems of equations.

Week of 3/4

Stats:  Students will be working on lesson 7-4, confidence intervals for proportions.  They will complete page 374 #'s 1-20.  Then they will work on finding confidence intervals for a variance and standard deviation and complete page 385, 1-16 for homework.

Calculus:  Students will begin working on indefinite integrals and initial value problems at the start of the week.  They will complete an assignment from page 313.  Then students will begin integration by substitution and complete page 321 for homwork.

Practical Algebra 2:  Students will be taking their chapter 2 test on Tuesday morning.  Then they will be working on systems of equations for the remainder of the week.  Students will learn multiple methods for solving systems of equations and complete a worksheet on each method.

Week of February 25

Stats:  This week, we will be working on completing page 366 and a project for lesson 7-3 confidence intervals.  The project will also serve to be an early review for the final exam and therefore continued practice of past concepts.

Calculus:  We will be taking our chapter 5 test this week before exploring slope fields and indefintie integrals.

Practical Algebra 2:  Students will be completing worksheets on Parallel lines, perpendicular lines, relations and functions.

Week of February 19th

Statistics:  Students will be working on confidence Intervals for a mean.  They will complete lessons 7-2 on page 358 and lesson 7-3 on page 366.  They will also have a quiz and a in class activity this week on confidence intervals.

Calculus:  Students will finish up working on definite integrals and move into the fundamental theorem of calculus.  Students will complete two assignments from a different text.

Practical Algebra 2:Students will start the week by reviewing permutations and combinations.  Then they will also review solving absolute value inequalities before they take their second test.  Next we will be moving into functions and relations where students will be asked to complete a related worksheet.

Week of Feb. 11th

Stats:  Capter 6 test on Tuesday.  Then we will begin chapter 7 on confidence intervals.

Calculus:  We will start the week by working on reimann sums and reviewing the four different estimation techniques.   Then students will evaluate definite integrals by hand.  Students will complete page 267 for homework.

Practical Algebra 2:  This week, we will spend a lot of time workin on inequalities, conjunctions and disjunctions.  Students will complete a worksheet for each type.  Also we will begin a unit on finding probabilities of simple events and applying the counting rules for permutations and combinations.
