Statistics: We are currently working on the normal distributions, z-scores and areas under the curve. We will be completing lessons 6-3 and 6-4 for homework.
Geometry: Test on Unit 2 will be on Thursday! Then we will move into unit 3, polygons.

Week of January 22nd.
Applied Geometry: This week we will be learning about the basic concepts in Geometry. They will include: points, lines, segments, rays and planes. We will also be learning the classroom procedures and grading policies.
Statistics: This week, we will begin chapter five, "Probability distributions" and we will also learn about binomial experiments and the binomial formula.
Calculus: We are currently beginning optimization problems where the students will have to write functions for different scenarios and solve for maximum and minimal circumstances.

Practical Geometry: Students will be creating a blue print of the school main floor to serve as an assessment for scale drawing and proportions.
Stats: Students will practice writing out sample spaces and comparing empirical probability to theoretical probability as they complete an assignment from lesson 4-2.
Calculus: Students will complete lesson 3-7 and 3-8 from their book. Expect a test on the remainder of chapter 3 before thanksgiving break.
